About counselling at St Albans Counselling Centre Who we are St Albans Counselling Centre was established in 1976 and affiliated to the Westminster Pastoral Foundation. Since 1984, St Albans Counselling Centre has been a constituent member of the Herts & Beds Counselling Foundation, itself a registered charity with trustees nominated from various bodies within the community. St Albans Counselling Centre is also a member of the wpf counselling network, the largest national network of counselling centres in the UK. What we offer Counselling can provide an opportunity to explore problems with someone not involved in your personal life who is trained to listen in a non-directive, non-judgemental way and may facilitate your own resources for change and resolution of difficulties. Counselling aims to assist people understand how past experiences may be linked to current behaviour and then to enable them to cope better with unwanted thoughts and feelings.
